About Sister Macs

I'll revamp and make this better soon, but you should know, this business is a one woman show here and I'm learning as quickly as possible, but as I go! So let's write a website blog post!
Hi! I'm Stephanie, the owner and creator behind Sister Macs bookish tee shop. As of right now I create every design that's in my shop. This business has not only been a creative outlet for me, but an amazing experience of making friends and learning so many new skills. I'm beyond grateful that people enjoy my creations and want to wear them! I have a local print shop that I love working with that does all my printing for me now. We use both screen printing and direct to garment printing depending on what suits the design best. My shop is now almost exclusively on Comfort Colors tees and sweatshirts. The colors are fantastic and the quality for me has been unmatched.
The Sister Mac's brief history:
Sister Macs came to be because I was in the middle of changing careers trying to figure out a better fit for me that would give me the flexibility I wanted and needed with my daughter. The previous year I had bought the cheapest iPad available for doodling. I was teaching myself how to make digital art as a creative hobby. I was sharing these pictures with my mom & sister when my sister approached me with this idea.
So we started learning the ins and outs of making t-shirts. The different types of fabrics & different ways to print and ink and durability. We did a lot of the printing ourselves for the first 2 years. We set-up at different shows, though primarily First Monday Trade Day's in Canton, TX. Our business grew and evolved.
How we became bookish:
One of our first creations said "It's a good day to read a book". This shirt was our best seller, but not only that - it was a conversation starter! We met so many awesome people with that shirt design, that we pivoted (I mean this was during the first 6-12 months, so can you even call it a pivot?) to the book tee shop!
After 2 years of learning and working on our business my sister decided to step back from Sister Macs and homeschool her four boys. So now - as Sister Mac's is starting it's 4 year, it's just me(!). My husband helps me a ton and I wouldn't have been able to grow this business as I have over 2025 without him. If you see us at a show it'll be him and I! When you place an order here - it's me who receives it, does a little dance, and packs & ships it for you.
I'm so thankful you're here!
